ABSTRACT

Abstract This article aims to analyze trends in research on Ergology in Brazil published from 1997 to 2019, considering the nature of the publication and the potential impact of the databases in which they are published. Studies related to occupational health indicate the growing influence of Ergology in the understanding of the world of work, a fact evidenced in previous bibliometric research, of lesser breadth and scope of the databases investigated, which is why we intend to cover gaps and broaden the analysis with more up-to-date data. Using descriptors peculiar to Ergology, surveys were conducted in the Web of Science, Scopus and SciELO databases, in journals not indexed to the databases cited, and in academic productions available in the Capes catalog. The projection of Brazil in studies on Ergology was revealed, with the Southeast being the region with the highest concentration of authors and volume of publications. However, the interrelationship between researchers tends to be limited to the institutions in which they work. There is a prevalence of theses and dissertations to the detriment of articles in productions related to Ergology. Publications point to interdisciplinarity - with a predominance of Occupational Health, Education, and Psychology - and tend to feature in vehicles of lesser scientific relevance.

ABSTRACT

This integrative review aimed to characterize scientific productions that address interfaces between the Facebook social network and the field of food and nutrition. Between August and October 2018, the databases Scientific Electronic Library Online, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, Web of Science, Scopus and MEDical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online were consulted and 85 articles were selected. The studies are emerging in the international scenario and incipient in Brazil. Significant use of Facebook was observed to mediate actions of food and nutritional education, and its uses were also situated as risk practices by reinforcing the nutritional marketing of foods considered unhealthy and by the dissemination of imagery contents that cause internet users to eating disorders. The Facebook has been appropriated in various ways, through interests and values that reflect society in its time and space, printing its characteristics in these processes of appropriation

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT Objective: to map the scientific production on patients infected by COVID-19 and the occurrence of stroke. Method: a scoping review, according to the framework proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute, using the LILACS, MEDLINE, WoS, EMBASE, CINAHL and SCOPUS databases, from April to September 2020. The following keywords were used: coronavirus infections, stroke, nervous system diseases and inpatients, based on the Medical Subject Headings. Results: 24 studies that evidenced specific clinical symptoms of stroke such as dysarthria, facial paralysis, sensory deficit, headache, hemiparesis and ataxia in patients with COVID-19 were included. The association between stroke and COVID-19 was found by the following exams: C-reactive protein, D-dimer, computed tomography and, magnetic resonance, among others, as well as by care procedures focused on the findings in the exams, associated with three clinical outcomes, based on the brain ischemia zone affected and the time of viral manifestation of each patient. Conclusion: the specific clinical manifestations of patients who suffered a stroke after COVID-19 were mapped, as well as diagnostic procedures and therapies used, in addition to identifying neurological damage based on the clinical outcome of these patients.

ABSTRACT

This study seeks to map and problematize the academic production related to studies on men and masculinities in the field of Physical Education, through a bibliographic survey in the annals of the Brazilian/International Congress on Sport Sciences, to discuss meanings of masculinity present in the works published in national meetings of the last fifteen years. Among the results, the works brought the prevalence in the body and sports practices of a hegemonic masculinity or of other expressions that denoted a segregating masculine domination, showing very little the resistance processes of other masculinities in these spaces, what we see as a gap to be filled by future work. We ended the work by pointing out theoretical and empirical paths, which can be powerful and productive for future research on studies on men and masculinities in the area of Physical Education.

ABSTRACT

The digital platforms and the dynamics and evolution of scientific journals have allowed the development of different models of the editorial peer review to evaluate scientific manuscripts before their publication. The nature, evolution and principal characteristics of peer review are presented in this article. A comparative and integrated analysis of the models of conventional peer review (simple and double blind) and open (either by identity or by process) is made, also considering their advantages and limitations. A new classification system is proposed for the Open peer review, divided in Open published peer review (spreading the information of the conventional process) and Open process peer review (in which the information is spread in a digital platform as the manuscript is reviewed prior to an academic report). All these topics are analyzed through the context of the systems and communities of science and their impact in the citation, to facilitate their possible incorporation with practical aims according to the requirements of each journal.
